All the 220 bedrooms are extremely comfortable, and larger than the modern standard. You get the benefits of auto-dial telephone, satellite colour TV, hospitality tray, hair-dryer and a splendidly fitted private bathroom.

Premier Plus rooms are finished to an even higher standard. They provide extra advantages like teletext TV, mini-bars, trouser press, personal toiletries and a welcome drink. Regular guests choose them very often.

The Scots have always had a most distinctive cuisine. You can enjoy it at its best in the charming Entresol Restaurant, and you'll find some of the finest Scottish beef on the carvery there. The Rendezvous Lounge offers you a wee bite whenever you want and there are some marvelous malts and fine whiskies in the Ailsa Bar.

The Central boasts a Leisure Centre with an indoor swimming pool, whirlpool spa, sauna and steam room, plus a fully equipped gymnasium and a solarium - well the sun doesn't always shine! You can also recover, or ruminate on the importance of exercise, in the snug and eminently comfortable Ailsa Bar!

Many important and glorious banquets in the last 100 years have been held at the Central. And a lot of the most important conferences as well. These are the standards kept at the Hotel today.
